Galvanized steel anchor lead chain is PVC-coated to prevent corrosion and protect boat surfaces. Designed with oversized links on each end to simplify shackle attachment. Suitable for most shackle/rode combinations. The use of an anchor lead chain enhances the anchor’s holding power by keeping the shank parallel to the anchoring surface, helping to eliminate unwanted pull-out or anchor freeing caused by wave motion or boat drifting. It also limits abrasion between the anchor and anchor line. Please note that this chain is not rated or designed for overhead lifting applications.
