Propeller nut 88228 can be used on Mercury and Mariner 18 hp through 25 hp outboards (1980 and newer), Force 9.9 hp through 15 hp outboards and Mercury 323cc Bigfoot 4-stroke outboards. See your owner’s manual for installation instructions, the Flo-Torq hub, thrust washers and prop nut part numbers to best fit your engine or drive with this propeller. • Must use the propeller nut to secure the propeller to the prop shaft.
• Install aft washer and tab washer before installing prop nut.
• Do not operate your engine or drive without the propeller nut in place.
• Prop nut is a special, molded nylon, durable and corrosion resistant.
• To aid future propeller removal, grease prop shaft splines with Mercury 2-4-C or Mercury Special Lube 101
