Shipmate Hi-Viscosity 80W90 PLUS Lower Unit Gear Lube is formulated specifically for marine applications, and is ideal for modern mechanical shift outboard lower units and inboard/outboard stern drives. Recommended for units specifying Hypoid, SAE 90, 80W-90, 85W-90, or Type “C”. Older models (prior to 1978) sometimes require special products. Refer to owner’s manual for specific lubricant. Improved gear protection for shock load conditions encountered with harsh startup engagement, power reverse, and propeller entanglement. Formulated for use in freshwater or saltwater conditions and all standard marine applications. Meets MIL-L-2105D and API MT-1, GL-5, GL-4 ratings.
